As the cultural hub of western Colorado, Colorado Mesa University values a respectful, safe and healthy campus; free of violence, abuse, intimidation or discrimination. Working with other University offices, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion provides support for students and faculty to ensure CMU's educational experience includes the free exchange of ideas, bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds and interests to promote a balanced exchange of civil dialogue. Our students gain a greater appreciation and understanding of cultural awareness so they are prepared to take on leadership roles in society. Colorado Mesa University extends its services to anyone regardless of (and not limited to) age, race, language, national origin, religion, sex, ability status, veteran status, immigration status, political ideology, socioeconomic status, gender, or sexual orientation.
