HIST 405: Public History introduction to Special Collections and Archives
A collection of resources for students interested in public history with a focus on the role special collections librarians and archivists play in the field.
Some of the transcription projects included here in the guide are also on this list provided by the AHA, but not all of them. It's worth checking out to see if there are any other projects of interest to you.
Current transcription, tagging, and review projects include the Susan B. Anthony papers, the papers of Mary Church Terrell who was an advocate for African Americans and women, and the Walt Whitman papers.
"Charles A. Lory (1872-1969) was the fifth president of Colorado Agricultural College (now Colorado State University). From 1909 to 1940, Lory oversaw significant expansion of the college. He was involved with many local and national organizations, most of which focused on water use, agriculture, and higher education."
