Oral Presentation Skills: Showcase Workshop

In this workshop, we’ll explore the topic of presentation effectiveness through examples (using rubrics to evaluate presentations) and through reflective presentation creation exercises (translating text into winning content).

Focus

> Focus

  • What's the point?
    • What primary info are you trying to convey?
    • What argument are you making?
  • How clearly does your presentation reflect your intended focus?
  • BEST CASE: Focus is clear & consistent; audience leaves knowing the points/info you were trying to make!
  • WORST CASE: Audience has no idea what you're talking about, its relevance, etc.
